A rollover washes a stationary car by driving a gantry over it and back. One bay, one machine, one civil works job - which is why it is how almost every car wash business starts, and how most of them stay. Four models share the platform. What separates them is how much washing a month they are built to survive.
How it works
Why the machine moves and not the car
A tunnel moves cars past fixed equipment and needs the length, the conveyor and the throughput to pay for all of it. A rollover puts the same wash into a single bay by moving the equipment instead.
One bay, one slab, one drain
The civil works is a level bay with a drain and a rail line cast into it. If you already have a service bay of roughly the right size, you may already have the hard part.
The gantry does the passes
Pre-wash, chemistry, brushes or high-pressure arms, rinse, then dry - each one a pass of the gantry over a car that never moves. Nobody has to drive in a straight line.
Scale the machine, not the building
Growing from four hundred washes a month to three thousand means a different machine in the same kind of bay. When a site genuinely outgrows a rollover, the answer is a tunnel - and that is a building decision, not a machine one.

Duty cycle is the monthly wash volume each model is designed around, and the figure we build to. Throughput is the machine's own cycle rate. What a site actually does in a day depends on the programme selected, how fast cars arrive and how well the bay is marshalled - size a business on a measured day, not on a peak hour.

A question of fit, not of quality
We build both, so we have no reason to talk one of them down.
A brush machine moves soil off the paint mechanically. That is why it uses less water and less chemistry for the same result, and why it copes with a genuinely dirty car. Modern brush material is closed-cell foam or polyethylene filament, kept clean by the wash water it runs in - the damage stories come from neglected brushes and grit carried in from the last car, which is a maintenance problem with a maintenance answer.
Touchless puts nothing on the paint at all. It leans harder on pressure and chemistry, uses more water, and takes longer per car. Where it wins is where the answer to "what is on that car" is unknown or expensive: new-car handovers, premium retail, and dusty regions where abrasive grit is simply in the air.

Common to every machine
One platform, five disciplines
Whichever model you buy, these are the same. They are the parts of a wash machine that decide whether it is still working in year seven, and they are not where we differentiate between models.
Designed to EN 17281
The European safety standard for vehicle cleaning equipment governs the whole range, India build included - not just the machines that carry a CE mark. One design, one safety case, wherever it ships.
Safety is hardwired, not programmed
A safety relay to ISO 13849 Category 3 / PL d stops motion. The PLC is not in the safety path and never has been: it receives safety status as an input. An E-stop works with the PLC powered and with the PLC halted, and both cases are tested before despatch.
Every blower on its own MPCB
Each blower motor sits behind a motor protection circuit breaker set to that motor's own full-load current - magnetic trip for a short, thermal trip for an overload, and a means of isolation for whoever has to work on it. A blower that loses a phase or stiffens on a bearing trips its own breaker and stops. It does not cook, and it does not take the machine down with it.
Supply protection as standard
Phase failure, phase sequence and under-voltage protection are fitted on every model. On an unstable supply that is the difference between a machine that trips and a machine that burns a motor.
GI body, isolated joints
Body panels are galvanised sheet, finished in high-gloss polyurethane. Electrical enclosures are mild steel, and every galvanised-to-mild-steel fastened joint is isolated - two metals bolted wet is how a wash machine rots from the fixings outwards.
Ships semi knocked down
A 3 m upright will not go through a container door standing up, so every model ships semi knocked down - sub-assemblies built and tested here, the joints between them made on site by distributor technicians. Hole patterns are asymmetric and hardware is captive, so a joint that can go together the wrong way is a design fault, not a site problem.
Options
What each machine can be given
Standard is fitted on every machine of that model. Option is a priced add-on. A dash means the model does not take it - and that is a design decision, not a stock problem: where the matrix says no, the machine is built so it cannot be added in the field.
Options change the incoming supply requirement, the bay layout and sometimes the water treatment upstream of the machine. Send us the site and the menu you want to sell, and we will price the configuration rather than the machine. Commissioning and operator training are quoted on every order.

Destination build
Built for where it is going
The environment pack is decided by the destination market and fitted at the factory. It is not an option list a distributor picks from, because the machine that arrives in Riyadh and the machine that arrives in Auckland should not be the same machine.
Certification follows the same map: CE for Europe, G-Mark with SASO and SABER for the Gulf, RCM for Australia and New Zealand, and NRCS, PVoC or SONCAP in Africa. Kenya and Nigeria inspect before shipment, so allow for it in the build programme.

Not a type test on a prototype - a function and safety test on the machine with your serial number, before it leaves the factory.
The supply matches what we published
Measured connected load is checked against the supply requirement issued with your quotation, and supply protection is proven live: phase failure, phase sequence, under-voltage.
E-stop, twice
From every position, with the PLC powered - and again with the PLC halted. A safety circuit that only works while software is running is not a safety circuit.
Every fault code, exercised
The full fault list is run through and read on the HMI. A code the operator cannot read is a service call that did not need to happen.
Knock-down joints go together one way
Verified by a technician who did not design them. If a joint can be assembled wrong on your site, it gets found in our factory.
Destination pack fitted and recorded
The environment pack for your market is fitted and written onto the build sheet, so what left the factory is on record.
Identity agrees with itself
Firmware model key, electrical nameplate and serial, and the mechanical build sheet must agree or the machine does not ship.
After it lands
The machine is the easy part
A wash bay is a piece of production equipment that runs wet, all day, in front of paying customers. What decides whether it is still earning in year five is whether the site can look after it - so commissioning and operator training are quoted on every order, the operation, maintenance, fault-diagnosis and preventive-maintenance manuals ship with the machine, and brushes are segmented so a damaged section is replaced rather than a whole brush.

Before you ask us for a price
What does an automatic car wash machine cost?
It depends on the model and on the configuration, and the configuration is where most of the spread lives - a wheel wash, a chemistry menu, water recycling and an unmanned-site package can add up to a substantial share of the machine. We quote a configuration for a site rather than a list price for a box.

Which of the Speedoclean, X1.1 and X2 fits a given site?
By monthly volume, not by feature count. Speedoclean is designed around up to about 400 washes a month, X1.1 around 400 to 1,200, X2 around 1,200 to 3,000. Buying below your real volume means buying twice; buying above it means paying for design life you will not use.
The second question is what you intend to sell. If the menu has three tiers with wax and paint protection on the top one, that needs dosing channels and module bays, which pushes you up the range.
How much space does a rollover need?
As a first pass, allow about 10 m by 5 m for the bay itself, plus room for the plant - pumps, compressor, chemical store and water tanks - and somewhere for cars to queue and to leave without crossing each other. Every one of those is site-specific, so send us a plan and our site design team will check the layout before anything is ordered.
How much water does a wash use?
For planning, assume roughly 100 to 150 litres for the body wash, and about the same again if you run an underbody arch. Touchless uses more than brush for the same car.
Water storage matters more than most buyers expect: at around 30 cars a day, plan for 7,000 litres or more, and note that a delivered tanker is usually 10,000 litres - so a 10,000 litre tank is the practical minimum on a site that may ever need one. Water recycling is an option from X1.1 upwards.
Can it run on a diesel generator?
Yes, and many sites do. The size depends on the options you select, so use the connected load in your quotation rather than a figure from a brochure, and remember to add the rest of the site - lighting, compressor, vacuums, air conditioning - before you size the set.
How long do the brushes last?
It varies with water quality, temperature and how much grit arrives on the cars, but 30,000 to 40,000 washes is a reasonable planning figure. Brushes are built from segments and a damaged segment is replaced on its own, so a scuffed section does not cost a whole brush.
Do you sell through dealers?
Yes. Machines are installed and commissioned by trained distributor technicians, which is one reason every model is designed to bolt together on site with hardware that cannot go in the wrong way round. If you want to represent KKE in your market, talk to us about a dealership.
