KKE 504 : 3 Brush Truck Wash Equipment
Two vertical brushes and a roof brush. The verticals each run on their own driven carriage and cross over to the centre line of the bay, so the complete front and the complete rear get cleaned — not just wrapped.

The KKE 504 is a three-brush bus and truck wash in a trolley configuration, which is what gives it the flexibility to take a mixed yard.

Better cleaning
Cross-over verticals reach the ends
Three pressure-sensing brushes keep enough brush pressure on the body for the dirt to actually come off. What separates the 504 from the KKE 403 is that its side brushes cross over: each runs on its own driven carriage along a box section on top of the gantry, and they drive in to the centre line so the gantry can creep the rotating brushes across the complete front and the complete rear of the vehicle. Brush pressure is read from the power the brush motor is drawing, one loop per brush.

Why the 504
Four things it does that the entry machine does not
Mirrors? Kein Problem!
The Extended Mirror Program is standard. The brushes come in close to the vehicle and then move out just before the extended mirror, so the windshield gets cleaned properly and the mirror survives it.
Two chemicals, less of each
Raising the soap concentration to clean better does not work. The 504 carries two chemicals that act on two different kinds of dirt, both at a lower concentration — which costs less every single wash. A low-pH pre-wash lifts road film and oxide; a high-pH shampoo lifts oil and organic soil.
Efficient control, connected
The control system carries internet connectivity: settings, and the operation itself, can be handled remotely from a computer or a phone.
Built for the bay it lives in
A wash bay is one of the harshest places on a depot — humid all day and chemically aggressive. The structure, the stainless piping and the IP67 sensors are specified for that, not for a workshop.
The cycle
Three passes of the bay
Fully automatic, one operator. The vehicle is driven into position and stays there; the gantry travels over it on ground-mounted rails and carries out every operation. Programmes and trolley speed are both configurable.
Pre-wash pass
Water over the whole vehicle to wet the dirt adhering to the surface, so nothing is swept across dry paint.
Soap pass
The vehicle is washed with soap and water, applied through nozzles developed by KKE — this is where the two-step chemistry does its work.
Brush pass with rinse
The brushes take the dirt off while water runs through them, so one vehicle's soil never reaches the next.

Wheels, chassis and flanks, where a brush cannot reach
The brushes take the body. Everything below and behind them is an add-on, and on a truck fleet the wheels are usually the first one anybody asks for: the 504's wheel cleaning is a wheel blaster — high pressure, no contact — rather than the brush-type wheel wash fitted to the 403.

The range
More machine than you need, or not the right kind?
The 504 is the volume machine in the trolley range. If your fleet is flat-sided and the ends do not need sweeping, the KKE 403 is the same chassis with hinged brushes and a lower price. If the shapes are irregular enough that a brush would have to bridge them — tankers, mixers, tippers — the touchless KKE 503 is the machine to look at.
FAQ
Common questions about the KKE 504
What does cross-over actually mean?
Each vertical brush runs on its own driven carriage along a box section on top of the gantry. At the ends of the vehicle both carriages drive in to the centre line of the bay and the gantry creeps forward, so the rotating brushes sweep across the complete front and the complete rear. On the KKE 403 the brushes are hinged and swing free, so they wrap the ends slightly but do not sweep them.
How does it protect the mirrors?
The Extended Mirror Program is standard. The brushes come in close to clean the front of the vehicle and then move out just before the extended mirror, which cleans the windshield properly without taking the mirror with it.
Why two chemicals instead of stronger soap?
Because concentration is not the variable that cleans. Road film and oxide come off with a low-pH chemical; oil and organic soil come off with a high-pH one. The 504 carries both, each at a lower concentration than a single soap would need, so it cleans better and costs less per wash.
Which washable height should I order?
One of four — 3.5 m (137") · 4.1 m (161") · 4.6 m (181") · 5.1 m (200"). All four share the same chassis, so only the height changes, and it is fixed when the machine is built. Choose against your tallest vehicle; a double-decker needs one of the taller variants. Height and length extensions are available later as a bolted kit.
Does it dry the vehicle?
Not on board — there is no blower on the gantry and no blower output in the wash sequence. Drying is a separate 30 hp side-blower product installed at the exit of the bay, and the two machines are not interlocked unless that is specifically engineered for your site.
What supply does it need?
Three phase, at 415 V / 50 Hz, 380 V / 60 Hz or 208 V / 60 Hz. The connected load depends on which options you fit, so it is confirmed on your electrical drawing with the quotation — do not size the incoming cable or the protection off a published figure.
