Trolley System: The trolley system is a standalone unit. It requires an external Power source and water supply. The pressurisation of water takes place in the system with the help of a high-pressure pump. The trolley can be towed and placed at a particular position. Once placed, the electric and water connections made, the system can be switched on for mist spraying. The System can also be operated using a remote control from a distance of 50 m.

Trolley with Water Tank and Diesel Generator set: In this kind of system, the Mist cannon is mounted on a Trolley. The Trolley has the mist cannon at the rear end. A water tank of 5000 litres stores water and a Diesel Generator produces electricity. This kind of equipment is recommended where electricity and water connections are not available. These systems are especially suitable for remote locations. In such cases, a water tank refills the system as and when required. A Diesel bowser refills the diesel tank of the generator. 

Trolley systems are available in 25,50,80 and 100 m range. which means that a 50m system can cover a diameter of 100 m.

Trolley with Water Tank and  DG set has a limitation up to 50 m as the size of the generator increases and becomes difficult to accommodate on a trolley stably unless the trolley is always going to move of smooth surfaces.

When selecting a mist cannon, the largest system is not the best system. One needs to study the source of dust and keep it at bay at the source itself.
