Challenge: The vehicles entering poultry farms, agricultural produce units, and dairy facilities must be disinfected before entering the facility. This ensures hygiene, contamination control, and biosecurity. The units required a cost-effective yet highly efficient solution that met regulatory standards to achieve this. 

Solution: KKE installed a customized wheel dip system with side nozzle banks to wash not only the wheel treads but also the wheel surface. This ensures thorough decontamination of trucks entering and exiting the poultry farm, minimizing the risk of contamination.

The system includes water supply pumps with a duty and standby pump, allowing for continuous operation. A large-capacity polyethylene water storage tank is integrated with a heavy-duty float valve and float switch to prevent dry-run damage to the pump, ensuring long-term operational efficiency. 

To optimize cleaning, the system features two-way traffic loop sensors, an IP65-rated MCC control panel, and stainless steel nozzle banks with high-velocity spray nozzles for enhanced coverage. The installation also includes GI piping, road crossing PVC sleeves, pole-mounted vehicle sensors, and a weatherproof shed for pump and control panel protection, ensuring a robust and durable setup. 

A PLC-based control system is implemented to automate pump activation for a predefined period, optimizing water and energy usage. Additionally, a chemical dosing tank with an interlocked dosing pump is integrated to ensure precise disinfectant application in alignment with operational needs. 

Designed to function effectively in high ambient temperatures, this fully automated system is engineered to provide a maintenance-free solution with a two-year warranty, meeting the highest biosecurity standards.
