Frequently Asked Questions
1. For which condition is this Wheel Wash System suitable?
This Wheel wash system is a portable configuration. In scenarios, where there is concrete road and you need to install the Wheel Wash System without doing any modification to the concrete.
You just need to mount the Wash Bay, Entry and Exit ramps on the concrete road. The Wash bay has in built drain channels which collects water in the water tank besides the road. For installing the tank, you can just dig a pit using an excavator and put mass concrete to withstand load of the tank and water. Place the tank and fill the sides with soil and you are done.
This configuration comes with a 20 kl Dirt Trap System and hence it suitable for vehicles which have lighter suspended particles which take time to settle.
2. How does the sludge come out from the Dirt Trap System?
The dirt trap system has a Scraper conveyor which scrapes the dirt out of the bottom of the tank. The chute carries the sludge out and dumps it at the ground level. A loader can be used to remove the sludge from the ground level.
The Dirt trap system works intermittently so that the sludge gets enough time to settle. Additionally, coagulant is added to the water which helps in accelerating the settling of suspended particles.
3. Is Oil removed from the water?
Oil is removed by 2 ways.
- The dirt trap system has an in built oil trap which does not allow the oil to move to the pumping chamber.
- The Oil Skimmer is installed to remove the oil from the top surface and collect it in a Oil Collection chamber.
4. Can the Wheel Wash System be run on a Diesel Generator as we do not have power?
A lot of our installations are located at the exit of the mines which are much away from the power source which is located inside the mines. In such cases our equipment run of Diesel Generator Sets using our TW600GP Diesel Generator Addon. When the system senses the truck, TW600GP switches on the Generator and then switches on the Wheel Wash System. There is a Timer for the Generator which waits for any other traffic approaching the wheel wash system, before it turns off.
