What the driver sees, in the order they see it

    Both columns run a column of chevrons pointing the way in. The driver reads it through the windscreen from outside the bay, which is where the queue starts.

    Full-height red on both sides is not a small lamp somebody has to look for. The car stops where the profile scan expects it, so the first pass is not spent finding it.

    High pressure before anything touches the car

    120 bar, side and roof, on grit and road film while it is still loose. Skip this step on a genuinely dirty car and the brushes carry the first car's dirt into the second.

    Two vertical brushes and one horizontal, closing on the body

    Brush pressure is a closed loop off converter torque and pressure feedback, so the contact force is held rather than assumed. The rear brush tilts to 25° to get into the back of a hatchback, and the side brushes hold two locked positions.

    The wheels get their own brush and their own chemistry

    A disc brush swings out at floor level and works the rim while jets fire alongside it. Rim product runs on a dedicated dosing channel, so it is never diluted into the body wash — which is the whole point of doing wheels as a separate step.

    The paid upgrade, from its own module bay

    Wax and underbody are module bays built into the machine rather than bolt-ons. They cost seconds on the cycle, and they are the difference between a menu and a price.

    Dry enough to drive away, and the bay resets itself

    The roof dryer follows the contour the machine captured on the wash pass, and the three side dryers move with the body. Then the display goes back to WELCOME and the next car is called in.

The order above is the standard recipe. Twelve to fifteen programmes ship on the machine and the recipes are held as data, so a site can sell a short wash and a long one off the same steps without rewiring anything.

Why the display earns its money

A menu only sells if the customer can tell the difference

The hardest thing about a three-tier wash menu is not building it. It is that the person in the car cannot see what the top tier bought them, so they stop buying it after the second visit. On this machine the wax step names itself, the wheel step names itself, and the columns change colour as the recipe moves on.

That is also why the cloud dashboard matters more here than anywhere else in the range: it tells you which programmes are actually being bought, per site, per day — which is what a menu should be priced from rather than guessed at.

The brushes

Contact force is measured, not assumed

A brush machine is only as good as its grip on how hard it is pressing. The X2 closes that loop: brush pressure comes off converter torque and pressure feedback, so the machine knows what it is doing to the panel rather than what it was set to do six months ago.

The brushes themselves are soft ribbon strips, and they need water and chemistry running through them to stay that way. That is why the pre-wash step is not optional on a dirty car, and why the brush change interval is a number we will give you before you order rather than after.

The wheels

A wheel brush, on its own chemistry, on its own step

Rims are where a wash is judged, and they are the part a body brush reaches worst. So the X2 gives them a step of their own: a disc brush swings out at floor level, works the rim, and jets fire alongside it while a dedicated dosing channel puts rim product where it is needed and nowhere else.

The honest trade: a wheel brush picks up brake dust, and brake dust is abrasive. That is what the dedicated channel and the change interval are for, and it is worth asking us about both. Where a site would rather have no wheel brush at all, a brushless high-pressure rim turret is engineered to order.

Drying

The dryer replays the car it just washed

Memory-contour drying captures the vehicle profile on the wash pass and replays it on the dry pass, so the roof dryer tracks the actual roofline instead of a nominal one and the three-position side dryers adapt to the body. Nozzle-to-panel distance is what decides whether a car leaves dry, and this is how you hold it.

It is tested before despatch on three body shapes — hatchback, saloon and high SUV — each within tolerance, using the contour captured on that car's own wash pass. Dryer lift repeatability is measured against the published figure at the same time.

Chemistry

Every product on its own pump

Six dosing channels, each with its own metered pump, and built-in module bays for foam, wax and underbody. That is what lets a premium programme actually be premium: rim product goes on the rim rather than being diluted into the body wash, and wax is wax rather than more shampoo. A customer who pays twice as much gets twice as much, and can see it happening.

Programmes are recipes held as data, not wiring — so adding a menu item, changing a dose or running a weekend offer is a settings change on the machine, not a service call. Dose volumes are metered on every channel before hand-over, which is what turns chemical cost per wash from a guess into a number you can price against.

Built for the volume

Everything expensive about it is there because of the duty cycle

The X2 is designed around 1,200 to 3,000 washes a month. Two driven travel axles, the converter carriage, the closed loops and the module bays are not features looking for a buyer — they are what that volume does to a lighter machine over three years.

Below about 1,200 washes a month the X1.1 does the same job for less money, and we will tell you so. Above the point where a rollover cannot keep up at all, the answer is a tunnel — and that is a decision about the building, not about the machine.

What the machine tells you when you are not there

The cloud dashboard is standard on the X2, not a paid tier. If you run more than one bay it is the difference between managing sites and visiting them.

Brush wear and chemical levels

Reported rather than discovered. A drum runs dry on a Sunday afternoon or it does not, and this is which.

Named faults, not codes to look up

The HMI carries a full localised string set, with Arabic right-to-left mirroring, and every code is exercised before despatch.

The cloud cannot command motion

A hard boundary in the architecture: the dashboard reads, it does not drive. Nothing reachable from the internet can start an axis on your bay.

Gateway-ready wiring and a payment abstraction layer are standard, so changing payment provider does not mean changing machine.

What the X2 shares with the rest of the range

Designed to EN 17281. Safety hardwired to ISO 13849 Category 3 / PL d, with the PLC outside the safety path. Phase, sequence and under-voltage protection as standard, and every blower on its own motor protection breaker. Galvanised body panels in high-gloss polyurethane, with every galvanised-to-mild-steel joint isolated. Ships semi knocked down and bolts together on site.

How does the X2 wash the wheels?

A disc brush swings out at floor level on its own named step, works the rim, and sprays alongside it, with rim chemistry on a dedicated dosing channel rather than diluted into the body wash. A wheel brush does pick up brake dust — ask us for the change interval before you order, and budget for it. Where a site would rather have no wheel brush at all, a brushless high-pressure rim turret is engineered to order.

Is the high pressure instead of the brushes, or as well?

As well. 120 bar side and roof runs as its own PREWASH step before anything contacts the car, which is what stops the brushes carrying one car's grit into the next. A moving two-axis side high-pressure carriage — pressure held to the panel as the body shape changes — is engineered to order rather than fitted as standard.

Why does the beam display matter? It looks like decoration.

It is the reason a three-tier menu keeps selling after the second visit. The person in the car can read which step they are getting, so the wax and the wheel wash are visibly something rather than a line on a price list. It also means nobody has to stand in the bay directing traffic — the columns run green arrows to bring a car in and solid red to stop it.

What are the wash height options?

2.3 m to 3.0 m, using a bolted extension kit, with a further height step available as an option. Decide it against the tallest vehicle you will accept and against the building — a machine that clears a van in a hall that does not is a costly kind of correct.

Can an X1.1 be upgraded to an X2 later?

No, and that is deliberate. The memory-contour drying, the second closed loop and the module bays are built out of the machine below rather than left unfitted, and we verify before despatch that the reserved functions are unavailable in X1.1 firmware. Buy for the volume you expect to reach.

How many wash programmes does it hold?

Twelve to fifteen, held as recipes in data rather than wired in — so adding a menu item is a change to a recipe. Six dosing channels and the built-in foam, wax and underbody module bays are what those recipes have to work with.

Does the machine need the cloud to run?

No. The cloud dashboard reports; it cannot command motion, by design. If the connection drops, the bay keeps washing and you lose visibility, not availability.

What does the supply have to be?

380-415 V three phase, 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The connected load, cable size and earthing are issued with the quotation for your configuration, because the options you add change them.
