Ramps on, walls off. Or the other way round.

An above-ground rack needs a way on and a way off, and often a way to stop overspray leaving the pad. Both follow the same modular, bolted, galvanised logic as the 2200 × 3000 mm module itself — so the configuration can change when the site does.

Getting a machine onto a raised deck

Portable ramp sections provide vehicle access on and off the rack. They are built to the same philosophy as the modules — and matched to the same duty class, because a ramp is a loaded structure too.

  • Modular and bolted, so they come off for transport and go back on at the next site
  • Hot-dip galvanised, like the rack
  • Sized for container transportation
  • Load-matched to the wash rack variant — a light-duty ramp is not a heavy-duty ramp
  • Gradient chosen for the equipment: a low-clearance pickup needs a different approach angle to a tracked excavator or a mining machine

Splash guards

Three arrangements, one rack

Splash containment walls are fitted where the site needs overspray contained — near other plant, near a boundary, near anything that shouldn't get wet. Because they are modular and removable, the same rack can be open on one site and enclosed on the next.

  • Open wash rack — no walls. Most space to work around a machine, most overspray
  • Single-side splash guard — one wall, typically to the side where drift is a problem
  • Three-sided splash containment — the usual choice for stationary manual washing, where an operator working with a high-pressure lance would otherwise throw water well past the pad
  • Modular and removable, so splash containment follows the site rather than being fixed at purchase

Which machine sets the ramp angle

The lowest-clearance vehicle decides the ramp gradient, not the heaviest one. If a low pickup shares the pad with a loader, tell us about the pickup.

Where the operator stands

Three-sided containment changes how an operator moves around a machine and where the lance can reach. Worth thinking about with the pad layout, not after it.

What is downwind

Splash guards are usually driven by what is next to the pad — other plant, a boundary, a public road, stored material.

How often it will be moved

A rack that relocates every few months is configured differently to one that will sit on the same hardstand for years.

Final ramp dimensions and gradients are set with the rack configuration, against the actual equipment list — they are not a catalogue number. Send us the machines and the hardstand and we will confirm what fits.
